She/Her They/Them

Hello. My name is Alison or Ali. I am an Art Psychotherapist based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I offer therapy, supervision, training and other creative facilitation in-person in Edinburgh and also online.

I am regularly in London where I can offer in-person supervision, CPD and a variety of group work.

I have over 15 years experience as a therapist and supervisor who specialises in working with GSRD (Gender, Sex & Relationship Diversity). As a queer person myself, I find particular meaning in supporting and collaborating with LGBTQIA+ communities at the intersections of the arts, mental health and activism. I am passionate about facilitating creative conversations around recovery from trauma and helping people navigate the impact of internalised oppression.

I bring significant experience, curiosity, play and humour into my work. As a therapist, I am your cheerleader. I offer the opportunity to build a relationship where you can connect with feelings of safety and agency that you might not have had the opportunity to yet develop. I love being able to offer clients a re-framing of their circumstances to help them recognise their power as well as any pain that needs tended to. I encourage gentle awareness of somatic processes and the body as a resource. I work in as flexible a way as I can and I welcome ongoing communication about access needs.
